Job overview
Are you an experienced Midwife or soon to qualify? Newly Qualified Midwives will be offered the opportunity to apply for a rotational preceptorship position leading to band 6 upon completion.

Are you looking for a new challenge, able to demonstrate sound clinical skills and be a confident decision maker. If this is for you then please apply to our Midwifery Recruitment Event on 3rd November 2022. If successfully shortlisted you will be contacted and invited to attend the event at the Rosie on the day.

The Rosie Hospital boasts a large state of the art 10 bedded birth centre, equipped with birth pools, mats, balls, stools and mood lighting in every room, additionally our high risk delivery suit has pool room facilities and equipment to facilitate an active birth.

All areas are supported by Practice Development Midwives to aid your development with all skills required.

Please be aware all posts are rotational including opportunities in continuity of care teams and hospital midwifery.

Main duties of the job
The day will comprise of the following:

-Advice on all pre-employment checks and the next steps for successful candidates from Recruitment Services

-Information from the Practice Development Team on our 12 month preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff at CUH

-A Drug calculation paper and CTG interpretation, upon successful completion.

-An interview with a panel of experienced Midwives who can talk to you about the different specialities and the national ambition of continuity of care
