We are looking for an RN00 to work either days or nights for at least 3 months
Ward T6 is an elective surgery ward at Royal Oldham Hospital, they have 19 beds in total
It’s elective surgery, they take general surgery, vascular, colorectal and gynaecology mixed with endoscopy so very varied.
They take elective admissions each morning which can be anything from 2-10 patients, but an experienced member of staff would be running the admissions part.
General nurse duties as well as providing high quality patient care.

Days: £14.21 Saturdays/Nights: £18.47 Sunday/Bank Hols: £22.73

To apply for this post, you will:
Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 5 or 6 level within a hospital in the last 2 years.
Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual
Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
Responsibilities
Investigate, diagnose, treat and support patients with malignant and non-malignant hematological disorders.
Night RN’s will give oral and IV medication, blood/platelet transfusions, venipuncture and after training will access cvc lines (PICC/Hickman).
High quality patient care.
Note: Most of their patients will be on chemotherapy or post chemotherapy so can be severely immunocompromised so we expect a very standard of ANTT and handwashing.
